Eligibility: The “Microsoft and Dell University Concert Contest” (“Contest”) is open to legal residents of the 50 United States plus the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico), age 18 or older at the time of entry. Contestants must be currently enrolled in an accredited public or private school (college or university level); online school students are not eligible. To participate in earning points for the School Network Grand Prize, students do not have to be enrolled in the school of their school network; to earn points for individual student prizes, contestants do have to be enrolled in the school of their school network at some point during the Contest period stated below in these rules and at the time the prize is awarded. Employees and members of their immediate families and households of Microsoft Corporation, Dell Inc., their subsidiaries, affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, electronic media firm, Mr. Youth LLC, and anyone involved in the production, development or handling of this Contest are not eligible. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited. Participation constitutes contestant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsors’ and Administrator’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. |

How to Enter: To enter, visit www.delluniversity.com/OneRepublic (“Contest site”) to find how to install the Microsoft and Dell Contest Application (“Contest Application”) to your Facebook profile. Then go to www.Facebook.com and complete the online registration form and install the Contest Application. (To set up a profile, follow instructions at Facebook.com. There is no purchase necessary to create a Facebook profile.) The Contest Application is a free online tool that users can install onto their Facebook profile page to perform more functions on Facebook. Limit of one registration per person.. After installing the Contest Application, follow the instructions below to earn points for your school’s Facebook network (“school network”) during the Contest period. To be eligible, your school must be an accredited public or private school (college or university); online and home schools are not eligible. At the end of the Contest period, the school network with the most points earned by all individually participating contestants registered in its network will win the School Network Grand Prize. Prizes will be awarded to the individual student contestants who earn the most points as described below. Contestants can view points earned to date per school network at the Contest site. |

How to Earn Points: All points earned count towards your school network.
Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant or player. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. Winner Validation: Winners will be determined on or about 9/3/08 by a panel of judges under the supervision of Mr. Youth LLC, an independent judging agency whose decisions are final on all aspects of the Contest. In the event of a tie for School Network Grand Prize, the school network that received the most unique contestants (based on a unique ID from downloading the Contest Application) will be awarded the prize. In the event of a tie for student prize, the contestant who was the first to install the Contest Application will be awarded the prize. Potential winners will be notified via Facebook and may be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release and W9 if prize value is over $599. Affidavit and W9 must be returned within 14 days of the date on the notification or prize will be forfeited and a runner-up will be determined. Weekly winners will be required to reply within 5 days of the date on the notification and Affidavit and W9 signed and returned with 14 days or prize will be forfeited and a runner-up will be determined. Any prize notification or prize returned as undeliverable will be awarded to a runner-up unless there remain prizes unclaimed as of 9/31/08. Any prizes unclaimed after 9/31/08 will not be awarded. You are not a certified winner until validated, Affidavit is returned and W9 (if prize value is over $599) and you receive official notification from the judging agency. Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes winner’s consent to Sponsors’ and their agents’ use of winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration. Prizes: School Network Grand Prize (1): the school network with the most cumulative points earned by its students will have the Sponsors arrange a music concert at or near its campus at Sponsors’ expense. Tickets will be guaranteed for all student winners and their guests with the balance made available for FREE for general student admission on a first come, first served basis. Musical group, concert date and arrangements will all be determined by Sponsors and are subject to both music group’s and school’s facility availability, suitability of school’s concert facility, and school’s approval. Use of school facility is also subject to school’s policy on acceptance of gifts and/or fees for use of facility. Sponsors, in their sole discretion, may opt to hold concert at a more suitable location near the school, if the school’s concert facility is not deemed suitable. If a suitable facility, as deemed by Sponsors, cannot be arranged within 60 miles from the winning school’s location, a runner-up school network will be awarded the prize. Concert will be held by 11/20/08. If the concert is cancelled for any reason, it will be postponed, however the Sponsors cannot guarantee that the same musical group will be available for the postponed concert date selected. Student Grand Prizes (3): the top ranking three students from any school network will each be awarded a trip for two people to attend the concert and have the opportunity to meet the band. The trip consists of roundtrip coach air transportation from a major airport nearest winner’s current residence at time of concert, two (2) nights double-occupancy hotel accommodations (one room, two people), two concert tickets, and the opportunity to meet the musical group before the concert ($2,200 ARV per prize). Actual prize value will depend on winning concert location and winner’s place of residence. If the concert is cancelled for any reason, the Sponsors will have no other obligation to the winners other than to provide the stated prize minus the concert tickets. Trip is subject to availability and blackout dates. Travel must be roundtrip. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. Travel and accommodations are subject to availability. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Contest, and those set forth by the Sponsors’ airline carrier(s) of choice as detailed in the passenger ticket contract. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the package description above, including but not limited to, ground transportation, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes or other expenses are the responsibility solely of winner. Travel companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure and must travel on same itinerary and at the same time as the winner. If winner is a minor in his/her state of residence, travel companion must be winner’s parent/legal guardian. Travel companion must execute liability/publicity releases prior to issuance of travel documents. Travel restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. If in the judgment of Sponsors air travel is not required due to winner’s proximity to concert location, ground transportation will be substituted for roundtrip air transportation at Sponsors sole discretion. Sponsors will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates. Top Ten Student Prizes: The top ranking ten (10) students from the winning school network will each be awarded one concert ticket, the opportunity to meet the musical group before the concert and an 8GB Zune media player ($165 ARV). If the concert is cancelled for any reason, the Sponsors will have no other obligation to the winners other than to provide the stated prize minus the concert tickets. Weekly Student Prizes: Each week during the Contest period the top ten (10) ranking students from any school network will receive these prizes: First Place Prize: The highest-ranking student will win a $1,000 Target online gift card and an 8GB Zune media player ($165 ARV). Total ARV per prize: $1,165 Second to Tenth Place Prizes: 9 runner-up students will win a $275 Target online gift card. Any expenses not mentioned above, including any federal and state taxes, are the winners’ responsibility. Total ARV of all prizes: $37,370. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. No substitution for prizes except as may be necessary due to unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded, at the Sponsors’ sole discretion. Facebook is not associated with the sponsorship or administration of this Contest. Sponsors are not responsible for any inaccurate data compiled on Facebook.com. Target gift card prizes are subject to terms and conditions posted at Target.com. Release: By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsors, Administrator, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. General Conditions: Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsors’ reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion. Sponsors reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other Promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsors’ failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Limitations of Liability: The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. If for any reason an entrant's entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Contest, provided that the Entry Period has not ended. If the Contest is canceled, suspended or modified, Sponsors, in their sole discretion, may elect to judge runner-up winners from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance for any or all of the prizes offered herein. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. In the event that production, technical, seeding, programming or any other reasons cause more than stated number of prizes as set forth in these Official Rules to be available and/or claimed, Sponsors reserve the right to award only the stated number of prizes by a random drawing among all legitimate, un-awarded, eligible prize claims. Disputes: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by United States District Court for the Western District of Texas and the Texas State District Court in Williamson County, Texas. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsors in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Texas, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Texas or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Texas.
